Wireless technologies continue to evolve to provide new services and higher speeds. The GSM family of technologies includes today's GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3GSM. The GSMA research program includes studies designed to assess exposure from new technologies and services. We are also supporting research with human volunteers examining physiological and cognitive endpoints. The GSMA has supported research on the compatibility of GSM, GPRS and 3G signals from handsets with consumer and medical electronics. We are currently supporting work on compatibility with hearing aids.
