Access to Scientific Information

The GSMA supports open access to high quality information by encouraging researchers to report their findings in peer reviewed journals, by providing sponsorship for scientific conferences and supporting EMF-Portal.

The GSMA believes that publication of research findings in peer review journals is an important step in the process of scientific review. Our contracts with independent researchers encourage them to publish their findings.

GSMA has supported the annual scientific meeting of the Bioelectromagnetics Society (BEMS) for several years and meetings of the European BioElectromagnetics Association (EBEA). These provide a forum for discussion of new findings.

The GSMA is providing partial support for EMF-Portal, a web-based information platform in English and German regarding the effects of electromagnetic fields on humans. The EMF-Portal is maintained by an independent staff of editors who are solely responsible for all contents.
