OneAPI

Mobile application development often means using different APIs from different operators in order to access their subscribers. At the same time many worthy network capabilities (charging, messaging, location, user context etc.) are not accessible without a tight integration with operator systems. The GSMA OneAPI aims to provide a commonly supported, lightweight, Web friendly API to overcome these problems. It aims to reduce the effort and time needed to create applications and content that is portable across mobile operators.

Application Developers and operators interested in the initiative should visit the GSMA’s OneAPI project portal and for those interested in testing non-commercial applications, the OneAPI Reference Implementation portal offers access to developers to test non-commercial applications using RESTful and Web Service APIs against stubs and operator networks. The aim is to allow developers to test the APIs and provide feedback so that we can improve them, and to provide operators with an integration point for their test environments.
